Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing 17-year-old boy.
Sheriff Randy Retter said his staff is exploring different avenues to find Kyle Hokey-Jackson, who is originally from the Centerville area.
The teen was last seen in the Richmond area early in the afternoon of Jan. 6, and the sheriff’s department was notified of his disappearance on Jan. 7.
The search has broadened into the Whitewater Valley, because Hokey-Jackson has some connections to the Franklin County, Indiana, area that might have taken him there, Retter said.
Hokey-Jackson is a white male with brown-blond hair and blue eyes. He’s 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
Retter said the teen is not believed to be in immediate danger, so he didn’t qualify for a statewide Amber alert.
The sheriff’s department has submitted Hokey-Jackson’s information to the National Missing Children’s Clearinghouse, but Retter was uncertain whether that had been shared more broadly.

Retter said messages also may be shared through the department’s Facebook page, and staff are diligent about reviewing those messages quickly.
