Tamela Ann Ingram (Tammy) 63, of Colquitt, Georgia, passed away on February 3, 2023 after a heroic 10 year battle with ALS.
She was born in Richmond, IN on September 18, 1959 to Ed and Ann Ingram. She was a 1977 graduate of RHS and attended IU East before moving to Florida in 1982. Tammy worked as an executive secretary, was a talented artist and had a true passion for animals. She helped rescue and rehab many species over the years. Her perfect day was walking on the beach finding sea shells with her son Travis and her dog Star Baby.
Tammy is survived by her sisters, Missy Barker (Mark), Tracy Stevens (Scott), nieces and nephews, Ali Lakes, Brett (Krystal) Barker, Dani (Amber) Barker-Cornelius, Cory (Larissa) Stevens, Chris (Kate) Stevens and several great nieces and nephews. Aunt Sandy (Bill) Goodwin, step mother Lora Ingram and many cousins. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Travis Wheeler and many furry and feathered babies. There will be no public service. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association at als.org or to any animal rescue in her honor.
