Sue Gail Callahan, 74, of Richmond, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2022. She was born February 26, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky to Bill Bowling and Mary E. Bowling.

Sue loved the Lord, shopping, Christmas and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Raleigh Callahan; son Mark Callahan; daughters Renee Callahan, Susan Callahan and Rachel Callahan; brother Billy Wayne Bowling; sisters Peggy Robinson, Sylvia “Muffin” (Wayne) Gipson, Donna (Glen) Slifer, Carolyn “Wasa” (Rick) Coates and Melba (Billy) Brown; grandchildren Eli (Ashley) Callahan, Abigail Callahan, Jalen Slinker, Emily Callahan, Jaxon Slinker, Sylas Lynch and Darius Stewart; great grandchild Atreus Slinker; in-laws Harold and Norma Callahan, Clyde Callahan, Freda Wyatt, Hazel Callahan, Ed and Edith Parker, and George Callahan; honorary family Kimaya and Jenna Jones and Derrek and Julie Jenkins. She also leaves a host family the Abners, Kings, Bowlings, Wilders and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law Bill and Betty Callahan, sisters Portia Warren and Cindy Callahan, nephews Bobby Robinson, Jason Burkhart and Mitch Parker, brothers-in-law Bobby Robinson Sr, Don Wyatt, Big George Callahan, Billy Callahan and Perry Callahan, sisters-in-law Irene Blevins, Doc Brumagin and Ethel Wilder. Also, many nieces and nephews that have went on to be with them.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Robert G. Fleming.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday January 8, 2023, at 12noon at Community Family Funeral Home, where family and friends may call on Saturday January 7, 2023, from 4pm-7pm. Burial will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Garden.
