Shirley L. White, 85, of Knightstown, Indiana went home to our Lord and Savior on February 21st, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Mr. and Mrs. George Groth.
At the age of 17 she met the love of her life, Robert R. White Sr. They married and moved to Richmond, Indiana where together they raised 7 children. Shirley is remembered for her kind and loving heart, her smile and her forgiveness of others. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, bingo, the casino, and her crossword puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Bobby (Linda) White, Elizabeth (Gary) Moore, Tommy (Lisa) White, Ronnie White, Duane White, and Buddy White, her son-in-law Aaron Steel, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert R. White, her daughter Tracy (White) Steel, her parents, brother Jack Groth, and grandson Shane White.
Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Public visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
