Olivia K. Bettelon, 20, Richmond, died February 3, 2023. Olivia was born on February 23rd, 2002 to Barbara Bettelon at Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, IN. In her youth Olivia enjoyed playing with her younger brother Kevin, many cousins and extended family members. She was always easy to spot with her tall, bouncing hair running around the neighborhood. Livy’s cousins have always been like siblings to her.
During her school years at Richmond High School she loved playing volleyball and working at Subway, Frisch’s and McDonald’s, where she was always well liked and admired for her great work ethic. After high school, Livy took a job as a Behavioral Health Recovery Attendant at Richmond State Hospital where she worked alongside her mother Barbara. Following her time at the State Hospital, Livy joined the Rosebud Village Nursing Home as a Housekeeper and weekend Receptionist. Everywhere she worked, Livy always brought positive feelings and a sweet smile. She was often a friend rather than simply a coworker.
On May 14th, 2022 Livy’s life changed for the better. Khalil Allen Cortez Williams was delivered to Livy and Khalil’s father, Ke’Sean Williams, at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Little Khalil was six weeks premature and needed constant monitoring. But with his mother and father at his constant aid, Khalil grew quickly into the chunky and healthy baby he is today. Since the day she learned Khalil was on the way, he has been the center of her universe. Livy loved being a mother more than any other adventure she had experienced in her life. She will always be with him.
In her leisure time, Livy enjoyed hanging out with her mother, brother and son. She and Kevin have always been at each other’s side through everything. They were not only siblings, but best friends always.
