Margene Sue Albright, 86, of Connersville, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2023 at Forest Park, Richmond where she had been a resident since December.

Margene was born July 12, 1936 in Connersville, the younger of two children of Paul Samuel and Inez Lyons Garrett. She graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1954.

On July 1, 1956, she was married to Dr. Edward Hanson Albright who had a prominent dentistry practice in Connersville until his death in 1976.

For 33 years, she was employed as an administrative assistant at Visteon and its predecessors.

She had been a member of the International Order of the Rainbow Girls. She was a ten-year member of 4-H where she showed sheep and dairy cattle and participated in sewing. She also helped her daughter, Susan, show horses and dogs in 4-H, AQHA, and AKC for several years.

In her leisure, she enjoyed boating and traveling throughout the United States and the world.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Janis Horan) Albright of Connersville; three grandchildren, David (Casey) Horan of La Crosse, Indiana, Daniel (Jaime) Horan of Fishers, Indiana, and Kevin Horan of Camby, Indiana; eight great grandchildren, Alexander, Chloe, Emma, Kaylie, Kendall, Paige, Brady, and Luke Horan; a nephew, Brad (Leann) Hassler of Connersville; a niece, Cindy Hassler of Indianapolis; a number of cousins; and her pet Doberman dogs, Ginger and Val.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Naomi, who passed away at the age of six.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
