Larry Leon Marlow, 83, of New Castle, went to be with his Lord surrounded by his loving family Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born December 21, 1939 to the late Haskell Marlow and Vona (Luttrell) Marlow Decker.

Larry was a skilled trade Tool & Die Maker at Ford Motor Company, Indianapolis, where he retired in 1997 after 30 years of service. He taught Industrial classes at Ivy Tech in Muncie, Richmond & Anderson. He owned Larry Marlow Insurance Agency and managed at Standard Food Stores in Indianapolis. Larry and his wife owned the Ice Cream & Yogurt Station in New Castle. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church and the BPOE. Larry enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, traveling, and wintering in Florida. He also loved listening to music and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 65 years, Janet (Brown) Marlow; three children: Kelly (Bubba) Lamb of Spiceland, Jill Mixell of New Castle, and Scott (Sherri) Marlow of Kokomo; Seven Grandchildren: Michael (Julia), Kevin (Ashley), & David (Danielle) Houser, Evan (Desiree) Marlow, Jaclyn Mixell, Sydney (Colton) Wimmer, and Jessica Mixell; Nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; A sister: Ruth Phelps of Mt. Summit; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Marlow; a sister: Rosemary Marlow; a daughter: Vicki Cunningham; and a son-in-law: Joseph Mixell.

Larry was blessed with loving care from Tina Bowyer, Crystal Witham and the Henry County Hospice staff.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens.
