Judith Ann Chapman, age 81 of Connersville, passed away on Sunday February 5, 2023. Judy was born in Robinson, Illinois on July 3, 1941, to the late Charles and Myrtle Stevens Richards.
On February 22, 1960, she married the love of her life, James Chapman. They enjoyed 62 years together prior to her passing. They were blessed with three children.
Judy worked in the manufacturing industry for most of her life. She was employed by Philco, D&M, and later retired from Visteon after 15 years of service. She loved an adventure outdoors, from mowing the grass with her husband to attending the local rummage sales in town, she was always on the go.
She enjoyed reading novels, watching cowboy shows and church programs, and sewing. The most important thing in Judy’s life were her grandbabies, she loved them all dearly, and she raised them to be the great people they are today.
Judy’s memories will be loved and cherished by her kids, Toni Powell, Alan Chapman, and Brian Chapman; grandchildren, Shane Belt, Brittany Belt, Ashley Powell, Christopher Chapman, Brandon Chapman, Katona Chapman, Derek Chapman, Guy Chapman, Kyle Brown, and Tory Cain; and 8 great grandchildren. She will be thought of often by her sisters, Betty Dunlat, Carolyn Woodward, and Sharon Collins. Judy will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law, and great friend Betty Howell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Don and Loren Richards, and sisters, Beulah Pethbel, and Frances Mowell.
Friends may visit with the family at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th, Connersville, on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 12:00 am to 2:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm with pastor Chris Lovett officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
