Joey Michael Cheek, 40, of Richmond, died February 16, 2023, at his home. Joey was born June 29, 1982, and had lived here all his life. He worked as a cook in food service. He enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, the Miami Dolphins, the University of Michigan, bowling, and gaming.
Survivors include his four children Kaylee Danielle Cheek, Cayden Joseph Cheek, Peyton Michael Cheek, and Brooklynn Marie Cheek, his mother Brenda (Jimmy) Musselman, his father Steve (Bev) Cheek, his fiance Louann Ratliff, his brother Matthew (Sarah) Callahan, three step-sisters Hailey Banning, Kystal Banning, and Kelli (Eric) Sanders, his grandmother Carol Krieg. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Allen Krieg, Sondra and Delbert Mallicoat, and his aunt Peggy Cheek Swallow.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2023, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home. burial will follow at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.
