James D. Brooks, 56, of Fountain City, passed away February 9, 2023, following a brief illness.
He was born July 15, 1966 to Robert and June (Kutche) Brooks. He grew up on a farm in Fountain City where he lived most of his life. He enjoyed farm life and helping care for all the animals on the farm. He also enjoyed driving tractors and just being outdoors.
He was dearly loved and will be missed by his survivors; two brothers, Robert Brooks, Jr. (Fountain City); Thomas Brooks (Richmond); two sisters; Judy Pierce (Hagerstown); Mary Cox (husband Dan), Shelbyville. He also leaves behind, aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene Brooks and Michael Wall.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
