Greg Dargie of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday morning at St. Vincent Hospital on 86th street.  He was 59.

Greg was a member and officer at the Crawfordsville Eagles for many years, served two terms as Worthy President and was Past State President.  He worked in finance, starting with Purdue, where he worked 19 years and currently with Camping World.  He also served as a Yellow Shirt at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  He was a 1982 graduate of Richmond High School and 1986 graduate of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Born Jan. 25, 1964 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of William Allen “Bud” Dargie and Janice Jurgens Dargie.  He married Bonnie Dargie and she passed away in April 2006.

Surviving family includes: mother, Janice Dargie of Richmond; sister, Renita (Mike) Baumer of Richmond; companion, Tammy Wilkinson of Crawfordsville; three step-children, Jeremy (Johna) Hubble, Seth (Tricia) Hubble and Hilary Hubble; two nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew; grandchildren, Sebastian, Maddie, Harper, Jackson, Jameson and Haeven.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Bill, and an infant brother, Gary.

Visitation will be at Burkhart Funeral Home from 2 to 6 PM Sunday, Feb 12th with services starting at 6 PM, led by Terry Smith with rites by the Eagles Ritual Team.  Private burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery on Monday.
