Flonnie Bernice Alumbaugh, age 85, of New Castle, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, at Heritage House of New Castle. She was born July 30, 1937, in Monticello Kentucky to the late Samuel A. Brown and Sarah (Henninger) Brown.
Bernice was married to Leroy Cory and George Alumbaugh,. She was a member of Cross Roads Church since 1992 and her walk with God was something she was proud of. She enjoyed quilting, woodworking, and her flower garden. More than anything she enjoyed her time with her precious family who she loved dearly.
Bernice is survived by children LaVonna (Doug) Bell and Rusty (Kathy) Cory: Grandchildren; Danny Hedges, Lori (Eric) Cox, Alanna Davis, Ryan Hedges, Jessica (Nate) Stearns, Chandra (Justin) Asberry & Brittany (Blake Davis) Bell: 6 great-grandchildren: sister Lucy Franklin as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Bernice is proceeded in death by her parents and 2 husbands listed above and daughter & son-in-law Tammy & Gary Hedges.
Visitation for Bernice will take place on Tuesday January 24, 2023 from 12:00 ~ 2:00 PM at Cross Roads Church in New Castle. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will take place at Green Hills Memory Gardens in New Castle.
