Eugene Hinton Jr., age 72, of New Castle, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 5, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 26, 1950, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Eugene Sr & Helen (Cole) Hinton.
Eugene proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the United States Army as a Private E1. He had a huge VHS collection with over 200 different videos. He enjoyed going to Westwood Lake and fishing with his family. He had the biggest heart and the grandkids called him the “Candy Man”. More than anything he cherished his time with his family.
Eugene is survived by a son Eugene (Rhonda) Hinton III; brother Bruce (Verlie) Hinton: sisters; Tammy Mukes, Risa Bonner & Mel (Gary) Heard: 5 grandchildren: 8 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and sister Kay Norris.
In honoring Eugene’s wishes, there will be no services.
