Deborah A. Benham, 85, Arbor Trace, transitioned from this life to the next on January 28, 2023, at Reid Hospital. She was born on October 23, 1937, in Richmond, Indiana to William & Helen Focht.
Deborah graduated from Richmond High School in 1955 and attended Indiana University. She retired from the Wayne County Courthouse after serving 17 years in the Clerk’s office.
Her Children, Grandchildren, and “Greats” were her pride and joy and she would tell anyone that would listen to all about their lives.
Survivors include her daughters Carrie (Dan) Notoras of Lafayette, Indiana, Sarah (Jeff) Schuler of Williamsburg, Indiana, Step Children Lezlie, Mike & Dave Benham, Grandchildren Justin, Ashley (Randy), Andrew (Anna), Garrett (Brooklyn), “Greats” Marli, Nash, Dani, Beckham, Brookelyn & Korbyn, a nephew & niece, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband Richard, Brothers Ross & William (Pam), Son Daniel, Stepson Steve, Great Grandson Oliver, and her beloved Dog Sammy.
Friends may call on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, 222 N. 10th Street Richmond.
