Daphne Annis Williams, 98, a lifetime resident of Mt. Summit passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born on May 24, 1924, in Mt. Summit, IN a daughter of the late Jesse B. and Alma (Koon) Rifner.
A very devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother who served her Lord and Savior, Daphne was a lifetime member of the Mt. Summit Christian Church. She had served as a Sunday school teacher and director of vacation Bible school along with many other roles within the church.
Daphne is survived by her daughters, Karann (Melvin) Hawks of Mt. Summit and Kathy McCall of New Castle; granddaughters, Krisann (John) Anker of West Lafayette, Tara (Roger) Stroup of Pittsboro, Amy Day of Lexington, KY, Leslie (Dave) Stidham of Westfield, Tamara McCall of New Castle, Tiffany (Kevin) Neal of New Castle; grandsons, Terry (Misty) McCall of New Castle, Todd (Lisa) Williams of Sulphur Springs; 18 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-laws, Dian Williams and Linda Williams both of Mt. Summit.
In addition to her parents, Daphne was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Williams; two sons, Gary and Keith Williams; great granddaughter, McKaleigh Day.
Services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at HInsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Mark Herbkersman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Summit Cemetery.
