Charles “Chuck” Vern Pollock, 79, a resident of Springport went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2023. He was born June 15, 1943 to the late Carl Francis and Sarah Elizabeth (Johnson) Pollock.

Chuck was a 1961 graduate of Chrysler High School. He worked at Chrysler Corp. for 38 years before retiring and had also worked at Metaldyne for 5 years and Keihn in Greenfield. He loved fishing, working on electronics and bowling. Chuck was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked radar in NORAD. More than anything, Chuck loved the Lord. He was an assistant pastor for several years at Charity Baptist Church and currently a member at Smyrna Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pat Pollock; children, Carl (wife, Susan) Pollock, Corey Pollock (fiance, Tammy Brubaker); grandchildren, Brittany Michelle (Josh) McCaskill and Rebbecca Noell Pollock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Pollock.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Neal officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
