Carol Lynne Andry Egan passed through the gates of heaven on December 29, 2022, at the age of 69 after a brief illness.

She was born on March 21, 1953, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Joseph Nehman and Martha Ann Andry. Carol grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and moved to Indiana in the mid-1980’s; she had been a resident of Richmond for six years.

Carol always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone she met. She had strong faith, loved animals, scary movies, and cherished time spent with her family, particularly her son, Rory. Her family sincerely thanks the caring staff at Golden Living Center for the kindness they showed to Carol as a resident, and to Adoration Health for the compassionate care they provided to Carol during her illness.

Survivors include her loving son, who she adored, Rory Mac Egan; his father, John Egan; her twin sister, Linda Kaye Zimmerman of Austin, Texas; her younger sister, Jo Ann (Doug) Redding of Scottsdale, Arizona; nieces, Melissa Mattingly, Danielle Zimmerman, and Bella Stein.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

While Carol’s time on earth has come to an end, heaven has truly gained a very special angel to watch over all of us. Her family will miss her and the bright light she shone on them for many years to come.

Private services for Carol Lynne Andry Egan will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
