Audrey Marie McKinney, 90, of Connersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday, March 18, 2023 at her home.
She was born December 31, 1932 in Connersville, the eldest of six children of Stephen Edward and Opal Margarite Rodgers Kemker. She graduated with the Connersville High School class of 1951.
Growing up, she attended Central Christian Church with her family.
Audrey started working at a very young age babysitting and working at all three of the movie theaters downtown. For over 25 years, Audrey worked for GTE as a telephone operator until her retirement in 1978.
In her leisure, she enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, and yard work. She especially loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed monthly luncheons with her classmates.
Survivors include three children, John Richard (Sherry) McKinney Jr., Stephen Ray (Sheri) McKinney, and Vanessa Jayne (Lee) Davis, all of Connersville; seven grandchildren, Tisha McKinney, Matthew (Joni) Sparks, Jeremy (Connie) McKinney, Lynn (John) Charles, Joshua (Trisha) McKinney, Nathan Davis, and Sarah (Joe) Haynes; twelve great grandchildren, Kaylex, Kaylor, Kierra, Kiayah, Waylon, and Mila McKinney, Mattison, Victoria, and Prudence Sparks, Autumn Baker, Mason Blaes, and Lucy Haynes; a brother, Robert (Dana) Kemker of Connersville; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Sue Younts, who passed away April 10, 2001; and four siblings, Barbara Chance, Loretta Huber, Paul Kemker, and Charles Kemker.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Eric Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
