Violet Mae Sexton, age 95, of Connersville, passed away on December 30, 2022, at Caroleton Manor Nursing Home in Connersville, IN. Violet was born on September 13, 1927 and is the daughter of the late Hubert and Winnie Fowler Richardson.
On April 7, 1950, she married Delbert Sexton at Calvary Baptist Church in Connersville, IN.
Violet dedicated 43 years of service to Stant Manufacturing before retiring in 1993. Violet also taught Sunday School at Calvary Baptist Church for several years where she had been a member. Violet was a very devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured the life she lived and valued spending time with her family.
Violet is survived by a son, Jeffrey Sexton; sister, Betty (Bob) Wallace; a grandchild, Erin (Todd) Hackleman; great-grandchildren, Reagan (Andrew) Garrett, Olivia (Macaully) Vessels, Grace, Ella, Audrie, Isaac, Simon, and Benjamin Hackleman.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth (Lewis) Mains.
Friends may visit with the family on January 5, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, with Pastor John Reynolds conducting services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund at Calvary Baptist Church.
