Valerie Clopp, age 59, our beloved sister, passed away peacefully on Dec 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Valerie was born May 8, 1963, to the late Le Roy and Kathleen Gilmore – Clopp. She fought a courageous fight for over two years.
She is survived by 3 sisters, Dayle Ann Loudy, and Suzy Clopp both of Richmond, and Pat Eckerle Eaton OH. One brother Dennis (Becky) Clopp Richmond. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. And her beloved fur babies. She is preceded by her parents, sister Pam Hounshell, and special Aunt Rhea Ryan.
Valerie was employed for over 30 years by the Pal-Item where she was a Graphic Artist. She did the Quality-Living Sections of the Sunday paper. Valerie enjoyed Cross stitching, scrapbooking, and just about anything craft related. Her favorite place to visit was the Great Smokie Mountains. She loved staying in cabins in various locations in those mountains where she found peace and joy in the beautiful surroundings.
There will be no public services per her wishes. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Whiskers Rescue & Foster Inc Richmond, Indiana.
