After a brief illness, Tamara D. “Tammy” Moyer, 59, of Hagerstown passed away early Monday morning November 7, 2022 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana while surrounded by loved ones. A daughter of the late Fred. D. and Sarah J. (Middleton) Moyer, Tammy was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 8, 1963. A lifelong resident of the Hagerstown area, Tammy graduated from high school there in 1981.  Family and friends were her life and she was known and loved by many.  Tammy grew up in the family business and enjoyed the many years working at the Ron-De-Voo with her parents.  She also did waitressing at several other area restaurants.  For the past eight years she was employed by Help at Home and became the caregiver of two special guys, Kenny and Leonard.  After her passing, Tammy was still able to help others by donating her corneas.  She would encourage you to consider becoming an organ or tissue donor to provide someone with the gift of a better life.

Survivors include 3 siblings, David (Debbie) Middleton of Lancaster, KY, Becky (David) Bicknell of Hagerstown and Angie Moyer of Washington; her partner in life, Chris Doty of Milton; nieces, Rhonda, Whitney and Kayla; nephews, Ronald David, Brock, Jake, Nate and Trey; several cousins, aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.

Following cremation at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, a Celebration of Life will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday November 13, 2022 at the 500 Building (formerly the UAW building) in Hagerstown. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Greens Fork Cemetery.
