Shirley Jean Bilbrey-Marlow, 37, of New Castle passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at her residence as a result of a house fire. She was born June 19, 1985 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of James and Rebecca (West) Bilbrey.
Shirley enjoyed arts & crafts, painting, working in the yard and feeding the birds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her mother, Rebecca Bilbrey of New Castle; three sons, Bradley, Devin & Jeffrey Marlow of New Castle; siblings, Kristie Bilbrey of New Castle; great aunt, Carolyn (Landon) Smith of Alabama; cousins, Misty (Bill) Goad, Michelle (Eddie) Ankrom, Kenny and Kelly Bilbrey; and a special friend, Willie Nigh of North Vernon.
In addition to her father, James Bilbrey, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, James Bud Bilbrey, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Hansford and Nova (Evan) Bilbrey; maternal grandparents, Loretta McClendon & Lester West; cousin, Jeremy Ford and an aunt, Janet Ford.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
