Shelva “Shelley” J. Shuminoff, age 61, passed away at Reid Health on October 7, 2022. She was born February 12, 1961, the daughter of Robert and Wanda Ross, in Richmond, Indiana.
Shelley was a resident of Lynn, Indiana, but her heart was in Hagerstown, Indiana. She was a graduate of Hagerstown Jr/Sr. High School, with the Class of 1979. She was recently retired from Meridian. Shelley liked gambling (Bingo, going to the casino and pull tabs), fishing and spending time with family especially her grandkids. She loved making people smile and laugh even if it made her look silly.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her children: son: Monty (Mindy) Steelman, Hagerstown, Indiana; daughter: Diane Steelman, Lynn, Indiana; a special nephew she considered a son: Justin Sheets, AKA “DUH”, Economy, Indiana; four grandchildren: Shyanne Vinson, Glenrock, Wyoming, Jesse Vinson, Lynn, Indiana, Xavier Steelman, Hagerstown, Indiana and Xander Sheets, Hamilton, Ohio; sister: Lavonne (Ralph) Tucker; five nieces; four nephews; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband: James E. Shuminoff; and her parents: Robert and Wanda Ross.
