Saundra Dianne Connell was born on February 24th, 1948, in Muncie, Indiana, to Eugene and Myrtle Taylor.
Saundra Dianne gained her wings November 23rd, 2022, surrounded by family at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital.
She retired from Ball Memorial Hospital with over 40 years of employment. After retiring, she was devoted to raising her great grandson, Ke`yon J. Davis.
Moms had several talents and hobbies. She was an outstanding seamstress, sewing wedding apparel, prom dresses and various clothing. She was an artist and used a needle to combine yarn and acrylic paint to create 3D Artwork. She also painted abstract art paintings. Some of her artwork was locally sold in the Muncie area. She had a green thumb and loved landscaping her yard. Mom also loved sky gazing with her telescope and binoculars, viewing the night skies. Mom was loving, nurturing, humorous and caring. She was loved and adored for her kindness.
Mom was the STRONGEST woman! She fought to the end! Never complaining!
We’ll miss you and always love you Mama, Grandma, Nana and sister.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: two daughters and one son: Dionne Connell, Danny Connell (Melody Murphy) and Daphne Connell, all of Muncie, IN; six grandchildren: Deneia Davis, Danny Murphy, Miketa Davis, Darrius Connell, Carrington Wilson and Caveri Wilson; one great granddaughter: Madysyn Murphy; one great great grandson: Ke`yon Sanchez; sister: Cynthia Kaye Benning; brother: Eugene Taylor, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Eugene and Myrtle Taylor; great grandson: Ke`yon J. Davis; and a brother: James Taylor.
