Robert “Fred” Kellam, 80, of New Castle, Indiana, formerly of Dublin, passed away at Henry County Memorial Hospital on Tuesday morning November 15th, 2022. Fred was born on August 12, 1942, to the late Calvin and Mary (Suveges) Kellam in Richmond, Indiana. Fred grew up on Foote Street in Cambridge City and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1961. He made his home in Dublin since 1974 and has lived in New Castle for the past 3 years. After high school, he served in the Army with the 9th Division as a Fuel Truck Driver during the Vietnam War. Fred worked for McQuay-Norris in Connersville as a machine operator for 25 years. Fred’s memberships were to LeRoy Tout American Legion Post in Dublin, V.F.W. in Connersville, and Disabled American Veterans.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Marilyn D. (Keihn) Kellam on February 26th, 2001. They were married in Cambridge City on September 2nd, 1967.

Survivors include his two children, Elaine (Mike) Moistner, and Dana (Mark) Bumbalough; five grandchildren, Susan, Ethan, Lindsey, Ashley, and Krista; and four great grandchildren, Remington, Paisley, Noah, and Madison.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday November 20, 2022, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Following cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin. Online condolences can be made anytime at www.marshallanderleweinfuneralhome.com
