Rhonda C. Burchett, age 72 of Connersville, passed away on October 4, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  Rhonda was born on May 21, 1950, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the daughter of the late C. L.  and Mary Vivian Bennett Lindsey.

Rhonda was united in marriage on July 31, 1971, to love of her life, Ralph Burchett.  Together they shared 51 years of marriage and were blessed with a son.

She retired from the Fayette County School Corporation in 2012.  She was an elementary teacher at Eastview and Frazee.  While at Frazee, she was instrumental in organizing trips to Washington DC for the 5th grade students.  Rhonda is a member of the Educators Hall of Fame.  After retirement she taught classes for Adult Basic Education.

Rhonda was a past member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.  She was the organist and pianist for First United Methodist Church and had played at other area churches.  She started and directed the Community Handbell Choir. You could find her relaxing at home playing the piano, but most of all she treasured the time spent with her family.

In addition to her loving husband, Ralph, those left to cherish her love and memories include her son Michael Dane (Kelly) Burchett and grandsons, Jack and Liam.  She will be thought of often by her brothers, Larry (Mitzi) Lindsey and Jon (Jane) Lindsey; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday October 9, 2022, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville.  Funeral services will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church 729 Central Ave, Connersville, on Monday morning October 10, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Frank Oakman officiating.  Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
