Newell J Jones, 80, of Connersville, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Reid Health, Richmond.
He was born July 16, 1942, in La Porte, Indiana, one of three children of Newell C. and Alice Stranen Jones. In 1948, he moved to Connersville with his family, and he graduated from Connersville High School in 1962.
A veteran, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Newell worked forty years as a machinist for Roots Connersville Blower.
In his leisure, he enjoyed photography.
Survivors include his brother, Marsing L. Jones of Connersville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Charlene Jones.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Stan Howard will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Dale Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
