Nellie Jo Mayberry was born on February 22, 1950, to Charlie Andrew and Mary Linda Mayberry in Centerville, TN. Nellie passed away peacefully at Reid Health Center on September 12, 2022, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Nellie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Church of God in Centerville, TN.

She was educated in the Hickman County School system, graduating from O.H. Bernard High School in 1968. She also attended Lewis College of Business in Nashville, TN.

Nellie was a very fun-loving person. She loved soul food, listening to music, dancing, and being with family and friends.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Andrew and Mary Linda Mayberry; adoptive parents, Hugh. D and Ella Mai Woolridge; sister, Charlie Mai Mayberry; brother, Frank Mayberry and brother-in-law, Hugh Shipp

Nellie leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved son, Kenneth Elgin Frye of Terre Haute, IN; sisters, Dorothy Mayberry and Zula Mayberry of Richmond, IN, Ruby Peters of Centerville, TN, devoted sister, Anna Pearl Shipp of Harper Woods, MI and brother, Jersey Mayberry of Anderson, IN.

She will also be remembered by her special, loving niece Darlene Mayberry of Richmond, IN; nieces, Sherrie Mayberry of Richmond, IN, Cassandra Wright of Fort Wayne, IN, Phyllis (Courtland) Pitt of Southfield, MI, Marion (Jason) Cornish of Newark, DE; nephews, Michael Mayberry of Richmond, IN, Anthony (Terri) Morris of Richmond, IN, Andrew Morris of Houston, TX and a host of great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family acknowledges with deepest gratitude the many comforting expressions, prayers, deeds and all acts of kindness shown during the life and passing of our loved one. Also, a special thank you to the nurses, aides, and therapists of Reid Health center and Rosebud Village.
