Linda K. Bell, 77, a resident of New Castle passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at her home. She was born July 4, 1945 in New Castle to the late Roby and Leah (Kathryn (Green) Dunham.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of New Castle High School and attended Indiana Business College in Muncie. She had formerly been employed at Brooks Foods, Loveless Construction and Properties Unlimited. Linda retired from Midwest Transit where she had traveled the state of Indiana selling school bus parts. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and embroidering at her company,” Crafty Bees”. Affectionately known as “Mom Bell”, she loved attending Babe Ruth games, boating, spending time with her family and going to lunch with her classmates. She also enjoyed watching sports, NASCAR Races

Survivors include a daughter: Lisa K. Bell of New Castle; granddaughter: Marissa K. Mercer of New Castle; her companion of 11 years: Alan Miller of New Castle; an aunt: Peggy (William “Bond”) Stanley of Redkey; special extended family: Judy Brown, Scott Brown, Tia (Mike) Vitali, Halie and Hannah Vitali, Stephanie Tedder and Amy Ward; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband: Carl R. Bell.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. Burial will be at a later date in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the service.
