Connersville native, Judy Ann Hofmann, 75, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her residence.

Judy was born to Donald and Elsie Pope Hofmann on January 13, 1947. She attended Alquina High School, proudly graduating with the class of 1965. Judy married the love of her life Walter “Pete” Stalnaker II on Valentine’s day of 1987; together they spent twenty-seven loving years prior to his death in 2014. Judy was employed as a court reporter for Marion County Superior Court until her retirement.

Family and friends were very important to Judy. She adored traveling with Pete, visiting with her mother every night, playing with her nieces and nephews, and attending lunches with her High School classmates. She was an avid reader, who also enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas while working her puzzles. Above all, Judy was an extraordinary woman. She will truly be missed by those who know and love her.

Judy is survived by her siblings and their spouses Marilyn Drake, Sharon Scott and James, Phyllis Mudd, Bruce Hofmann and Lisa, Nancy Strong and John; grandchildren: Brandi Macer and Jeremiah, Thomas Kovacs II; great-grandchildren: Elijah and Ezekiel Macer; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, Judy is preceded in death by her son Tom Kovacs.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00p.m., on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 2:00p.m., until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Alquina Blue Arrows Park in Judy’s honor.
