Joseph Allen Brogdon, 54, of Farmland, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 7, 2022. He was born in Richmond on June 20, 1968 to Samuel and Jessie (Harrison) Brogdon. He lived most of his life in Randolph County.
For many years, he worked with his father at Economy Tile Company. For the past 10 years, he was employed by Oakerson Excavating. Joe was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a history buff and collected arrowheads and other artifacts. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed helping others. He was also a dog lover. Joe was also accomplished on both acoustic and electric guitar.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mindy Brogdon and Julie Brogdon; 4 grandchildren; 3 siblings, Tim Brogdon (Sandy), Cindy Warren (Terry) and Victoria Rice (Tim Raby); a long time friend, David Oakerson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Valarie Wilson.
Visitation will be 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, November 12, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Pastor Mort Radford will officiate. Burial will be in Economy Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.culbersonfh.com
