Jerry D. Kemp, age 78, of New Paris, passed away on Monday morning, November 14. Jerry was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on June 26, 1944 to Earnest Willard Kemp and Dolly Lorene Kemp Neuman.

Jerry formerly worked as a machinist at Richmond Gear. He later owned a Thom McAn Shoes franchise before starting his own trucking company. He enjoyed working on and driving old cars. Jerry is survived by his son, Christopher Kemp; daughter, Shana Dieckman; sisters, Joyce Johnson, Omadean Jetter and Helen Ryan; his special friend, Beverly Noland; and nieces & nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Collett. Jerry was buried in Willow Grove Cemetery following a private graveside ceremony.
