James “Dave” Coffman, age 71, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, November 19, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Born June 28, 1951, in Liberty, Kentucky, to Edward and Verna McFarland Coffman, Dave was a life-long resident of Ohio and Indiana. He was an electrical maintenance technician for Square D for 36 years before retiring. Dave was a member of Living Faith Church of God. He was a godly man who loved the Lord. Dave was an avid golfer and a jack of all trades. He fixed too many cars to count, built 3 homes, and loved helping anyone and everyone.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Karen “Sue” Burgess Coffman; son, James “Jim” David (Brandy) Coffman Jr. of Hamilton, Ohio; daughter, Krystina (Kevin) Wittenburg of Los Angeles, California; son, Randy (Phyllis) Tarter of Mooresville, Indiana; grandchildren, Brooke (Stu Herman) McCorkel, Karson Jackson, Maddy Roberson, Emma Tarter, Zedekiah Miller, Naomi Miller; brother, Paul Coffman; sister-in-law, Sharyn “Shari” Coffman, nieces; nephews; cousins; many friends; and his beloved dog, Becka. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Dannicah Coffman; siblings, Ina Broe, Julie Philbeck, Carol Sexton, Lillie Coffman, Edward Coffman, Stan Coffman, and Ruth Wyatt.
Visitation for James “Dave” Coffman will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Living Faith Church of God, 3777 Noland’s Fork Road, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Living Faith Church of God, 3777 Noland’s Fork Road, Richmond with Pastor Allen Henderson officiating.
