Jackie L. Oler, 93, of Williamsburg, passed away at home on Sunday, September 25, 2022 after and long and wonderful life.

He was born in Redkey, Indiana on August 16, 1929 to Harold D. and Florence H. (Smith) Oler. He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and served in the US Air Force, from where he received an honorable discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Jackie enjoyed a long career of self-employment in the home appliance business. He started his first business in Chicago and retired from ownership of Jack’s TV & Appliances in Muncie in 2019. Jackie was a loving father that always put his family first. He loved his dog, “Baby” Lady, luxurious cars, and casinos.

Jackie will be greatly missed by his children, Michael A. Thome, Tracy L. Kiersztyn, and Roberta “Bobbie” Ziebig; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Willard Newman; 3 nieces, Pam Anderson, Jo Ann Hill & Leah Nellis, two nephews, Randy & Ryan Newman, 3 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Newman (sister), Robin Thome Emrich (daughter), and Michael Newman (nephew).

A public graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 1, in Williamsburg Cemetery by Pastor Charlie Black. Military rites will be delivered by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
