Harry Arthur Jewell, 60, of Connersville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 18, 2022 at his home.

Harry was born May 15, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Roy and Viola Miller Jewell.

While in Chicago, he worked at a fencing company and later worked at A-Bec Electric.

On August 4, 2001, he was married in Chicago to Melissa Padgett McCord and moved to Connersville for residence in February of 2007. Mrs. McCord-Jewell survives.

Harry had been employed at SAPA, and for the past eight years he was employed at Oler’s of Richmond.

Harry greatly enjoyed hanging with his grandchildren and rocking out on the drums with Jayce, spoiling him with everything he ever wanted. He was an avid collector of antique organs and pianos. He also enjoyed playing all sorts of video games with the grandkids. A music lover, his favorites were the Ramones and the Cranberries.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Ryan Jewell and Samantha Jewell of Chicago, Illinois; three step children, Amber McCord of Chicago, Danyell McCord of Connersville, and Tyron McCord of Chicago; seven grandchildren, Hailey, Jayden, Breyden, Jayce, Sierra, and Niko McCord and PJ Flynn; a brother, Roy Jewell of Chicago; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Owen and Richard; and three sisters, Susan, Penny, and Terri.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Chicago at a later date. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
