Harley F. Farrar, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 8, 2022 at Reid Hospital. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 3, 1938 to Jesse and Helen Stout Farrar.

Harley served in the US Navy for over 14 years, stationed overseas in the Philippines where he met Mercedes Sagum. They were eventually married on July 20, 1967. After his time in the Navy, he was the owner/operator of several restaurant chains, in addition to numerous other careers in the Richmond area. Upon his retirement, he split time between Indiana and the Philippines with his wife. The Farrar line extends back to William Farrar who immigrated from England to the Jamestown Colony in 1618. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years Mercedes; children Carolyn Duning, Kenny Farrar, Barbie Hart, Jay Farrar and Monte Farrar; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Harley is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Deacon Jim Miller will officiate.
