Frankie Mae Carter, age 95 of Richmond, Indiana made her journey home on Thursday, November 24, 2022. She departed this life peacefully at Arbor Trace Family First Senior Living Center. She was born on March 2, 1927 in Allen, Alabama to Mary Davis Armstead and Ellis Armstead.

Frankie moved to Richmond, Indiana in 1943, and united with Joseph Carter in marriage in 1951. She Graduated from Madame C. J. Walker Beauty College and was a beautician for many years. She also Worked for Belden Wire and Cable for several years. As a long-time member of Bethel AME Church, she served as a stewardess and sang in the Bethel Senior choir. Frankie also loved to fish and garden.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter Treva (Darrell) Haynes, son Duane (Mary) Carter and Donald (Deborah) Carter. Also leaving nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great-great-Grandchild, sister-in-law Annie Ruth Sanders, special friend Juanita Lynch and many nieces, nephew, Cousins, and friends.

Preceding her in death are her husband Joseph, son Charles Scott, daughter Jessie Morgan, three Brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Martel Winburn, Sr. officiating. Family and friends may visit Monday from 11:00 PM until 1:00 PM.  Burial will be held at Earlham Cemetery.
