Frances Ann Sams, age 81, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Reid Hospice.
Born March 3, 1941, in Richmond, Indiana, to Robert and Marie Clark, Frances was a life-long resident of Richmond. She enjoyed reading, sewing, attending garage sales, and loved to cook. Frances also loved spending time with her family and friends. She attended Centerville Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Bert Sams; sons, James (Debra) Sams of Centerville, Indiana, Vincent (Vanessa) Sams of Webster, Indiana, Ricky (Shelley) Sams of Centerville; five grandchildren, Anthony (Karen) Sams of Sellersburg, Indiana, Kyle (Lacey) Sams of Webster, Amber (Joe) Pence of Centerville, Justin (Erin) Sams of Richmond, and Rachel Sams of Centerville; nine great-grandchildren, Judah, Noah, Liam, Alexis, Grayson, Rylin, Eli, Avrey, Emitt; and sister, Sharon Rittenhouse of Florida; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Clark; and grandson, Skylar Sams.
Visitation for Frances Ann Sams will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
