Ethyl R. Seeley, age 73 of Cambridge City, began her eternal journey with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family, on December 30, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond.  Ethyl was born on January 26, 1949, in Connersville, the daughter of the late Tommy, Jr. and Mary Baker Turner.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Edward Seeley, Sr. on February 1, 1966.  They shared 34 years together prior to his passing on April 16, 2000.

For 30 plus years she worked as an LPN.  She retired from Advantage Home Healthcare after 20 years of service.  Ethyl was known for her baking and cooking.  You could often find her relaxing by making floral arrangements, working in her garden, singing, watching hummingbirds, looking for eagles, and doing puzzles. She was a huge Travis Tritt fan, never missing his concerts when he was in the area.  Ethyl was a loving and devoted pastor’s wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was known as a mother to all.  She treasured the life she lived and valued the time spent with her family.

Her memories and love will forever be cherished by her daughters, Shawnna (Jesse) Mohler and Dawn (TJ) Wright; her son Thomas Seeley; brothers, Ben (Loreda) Turner, Barry (Brenda) Turner and Jack (Darla) Turner; and her sister, Shirley (Jim) King.  She will be thought of often by her grandchildren, Edward Seeley III, Mark (Alicia) Callahan, Caleb Seeley, Brandon Kirk, Danielle Smith, Lyndsie (Chris) Halberstadt, Krista (Brent) Weireter, Tyler (Lexy) Trumbo, Gavin Wright, Nichole Seeley, Kylie Seeley, Donnie Seeley, Cori Seeley, Christopher Seeley, Becca (Ryan) Nelson, Royla Seeley, Annabelle Seeley and Thomas Seeley; several great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was welcomed into Heaven by a son, Edward “Eddie” Seeley, Jr.; a brother, Tim Turner; her aunt Pauline Horn; and two sisters in law, Betty Turner and Vicky Turner.

Friends may gather with the family at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Friday January 6, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday January 7, 2023, at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery.
