Eric Steven Neal, age 45, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, in New Castle. He was born April 23, 1977, in Muncie, Indiana, a son of Mark Neal and Terrie (Lay) Nicholson.
Eric attended New Castle Chrysler High School where he played football in Jr. High. He loved taking care of his family and enjoyed helping other people. Eric was a loving and devoted grandson to his grandmother. He was known to be the funniest dare devil-even as a young kid. He was a member of the Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by a son, Orion Neal; fiancée, Candace Atkinson; a brother, Ryan Neal; his mamaw, Phyllis Neal; two aunts, Marla (Terry) Laurie, and Jennifer (Charles) Wright; two stepchildren, Khalon Waters, Allieyana Atkinson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Terrie (Lay) Nicholson; his father, Mark Neal; grandfather, Oscar Neal; a brother, Matt Neal; grandmother, Sue Davidson (mamaw Sue); grandparents, Lloyd and Gloria Lay.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2022, at Rose City Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle, with Reverend Don Raines and Reverend Larry Neal officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the funeral home. Rose City Funeral Home directors and staff are honored to serve the Neal family.
