Emalisa “Emmy” R. Puckett, 59, of Connersville, passed away on November 22, 2022, at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. The daughter of the late Jim and Doris Gulley, she was born on February 7, 1963, in Garfield, New Jersey.
Emmy graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1982. Emmy had worked at various factories throughout the area, but the most important job to her was being a mother and grandmother. She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren loving them and caring for them. Emmy didn’t meet many strangers. She was a social butterfly with a sense of humor second to none that loved making jokes and having a great time. She was also very talented in the kitchen and loved cooking with her mother for their family. She also loved to go to yard sales and thrift shop throughout the area. She also had a passion for fishing.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jessica (Ian) James; two sons, Danny (Chanice) Puckett and Brandon Connolly; grandchildren, Bayleigh and Hayleigh Puckett, Landon Kuhn, Julian Pursifull, and Liam James; brother, Marshall (Sherry Ison) Hinchman; sister, Doris Apodaca; and a special friend Glen Hand.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, George Hinchman and her Grandson, Robert Puckett Jr.
Visitation for Emmy will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St. Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm with Dylan Presson officiating.
