Dovin “Duffy” Coffey, age 81, of Centerville, Indiana, passed away at Reid Health, Monday, November 1, 2022, following a lengthy illness.
Dovin was born December 3, 1940, in Irvine, Kentucky, to Raymond and Bessie Coffey. After moving to Indiana in the mid 1940’s, he attended Centerville Schools graduating with the class of 1959. Following service with the United States Air Force in Texas and Mississippi, he remained in the south having a career as an iron worker, until being forced to leave following Hurricane Katrina. He returned to Indiana to finish out the remainder of his life, near family.
Survivors include his brother, Richard (Barbara) Coffey, nieces, Jennifer (Carl) Rhinehart, and their children, Gianna, Julian, and Adrian, Lauren Coffey and her children, Dominic Germano and Natalia Reigelsperger, along with nephew Michael Coffey. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
Following tissue donation, private cremation services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Reid Health for their care and support of Dovin.
