RICHMOND, Ind. – Dell M. Stevenson, age 74, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Forest Park Health Campus.
Born January 12, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia, to William H. and Fay D. Freeman, Dell was a resident of this community since 1986, coming from Massachusetts. She was a high school graduate and worked in data entry at Essex Bank.
Dell was supportive and caring. She was involved in AA since 1977, and enjoyed counseling and helping others throughout the AA community. She was an aunt, mentor to many, and passionate for helping others. Dell loved her chihuahua named Myla.
Survivors include her sons, Bob (Shelly) McGrath of Winchester, Indiana, and Jon (Amy) Carter of Cambridge City, Indiana; brother Mark (Tina) Richardson of Hagerstown, Indiana; 8 granddaughters and 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William F. Stevenson Jr.; parents; sisters, Delores Rhinehart and Debbie Chance; and great-granddaughter, Hadlie Lanter.
There will be no public service for Dell M. Stevenson.
Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
