Debra S. Buckles, 58 of Connersville passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born on May 15, 1964, in Connersville, to Herschel Hughes and Bonnie Clark Hughes.
Debbie graduated from Connersville High School in 1982.
On September 3, 1983, she married George Buckles in Connersville. They were able to spend 37 years together before he passed away on March 18, 2020.
Debbie had attended Full Gospel Holiness Church in the early 1990s.
Debbie worked in Dietary in Lincoln Centers for many years.
You could often find Debbie watching Hallmark movies, HGTV and listening to country music especially her favorite artist Vince Gill. Her greatest pleasure was being a grandmother to Declan, she cherished her time spent with him and her family.
Debbie is survived by her mother, Bonnie; her son, Michael (Brionnah Lewis) Buckles; her grandson, Declan Buckles; and her brothers, Danny (Tina) Hughes and Jeff (Kelly) Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herschel and her husband of 37 years, George; and brothers, David Hughes, Jimmy Hughes and Brian Hughes.
Visitation for Debbie will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th St., Connersville, Indiana 47331. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Ronnie Philpot officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
