Conway Asberry, 86, of New Castle passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 9, 2022.

He was born on May 31, 1936, in Albany, Kentucky, a son of the late James O. and Mattie Sue (Hayes) Asberry.

Conway loved the Lord and loved his family. He married the love of his life, Betty Joy Isom, on February 27, 1954, and together they enjoyed 67 and a half years of marriage until her death on September 2, 2021. Conway retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation as an Industrial Maintenance man. He was a deacon and long-time member of Northside Church of God. Conway was an avid deer hunter and a marksman with a bow. He enjoyed his grandchildren and working in his yard and garden.

Those left to cherish Conway’s memory include his three children, Terry Asberry, Debby (Danny) Isaacs, Jamie (Melissa) Asberry all of New Castle; grandchildren, Renee (John) Brown, Jessica Gardner, Jayson (Amy) Madden, Joshua (Renee) Madden, Justin (Chandra) Asberry, Rusty (Hannah) Asberry, Dusty (Megan) Asberry, JoyAnna Asberry, Mandalyn Grace Asberry; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Corbin, Isaac, Eliza, Gabby, Jacob, Ally, Dezirae, Austin, Dylan, Abbey, Rosalee, Mason, Dominic, Cody, Dawson, Emmerly, Naomi, Raven, Scarlett, Brooks, Eden, Michael Dawn, Janet, and Carolyn; great-great-grandchildren, Cali, Grace, Remington, Penelope, Averi, Holdyn, Robin, Rainy, Aubrey, Chloe, Robbie, Adria, Zach, Luke, and Danni; a brother, Johnny (Betty) Asberry of New Castle; three sisters, Monrie Neisler of Wheaton, IL, Faye (Dan) Fairchild and Darlene (Steve) Riggs both of New Castle; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Conway was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Joy Asberry; three children, Connie, Kerry, and Jeff Asberry; three grandsons, James Gardner, Scott Erick Madden, and Mike Isaacs; two great-grandsons, Grant Madden and Robin Isaacs; three brothers, Vasco, Donald, and James Gordon Asberry, and a sister, Vonda Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 15, 2021 at Northside Church of God, 927 N 14th Street, New Castle, IN 47362 with Pastor Phil Brown and Rev. Elwood Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens.
