Constance “Connie” Kreuzinger, 88, formerly of New Castle went to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Lakeland Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Angola, Indiana. She was born December 6, 1933 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Alfred and Josephine (Stopinski) Conger.

Connie was employed as a medical secretary in Stroudsburg, PA and Dayton, OH for many years. She had also worked for the Department of Welfare in both Muncie and New Castle. A supportive pastor’s wife, she was active in various churches; South Toms River, NJ, Portland, PA, Dayton, OH and New Castle, IN where she was currently a member. Connie was also a member of Homemakers of America, the Kiwanis Club and the Salvation Army. Her hobbies include reading, hummingbirds and crossword puzzles. She also loved traveling, especially to the ocean, and spending time with her grandchildren. Connie had an uncanny ability to get into mischief, especially after moving into Lakeland.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years: Norwood “Woody” Kreuzinger, whom she married June 28, 1952; three daughters: Patti (Richard) Warren of Angola, Michele (Marv) Lewis of West Lafayette and Carol (Doug) Benton of Leesville, SC; a son: Steve (Linda) Kreuzinger of Farmington Hills, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Al, Tony and Dan Conger.

Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle with Pastor Danny Goddard officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
