Charles Leroy Black, 55, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at IU Health University Hospital, following a long illness.

He was born in Richmond on September 10, 1967 to Charles F. and Marjorie (Bulmer) Black, and was a life long resident of the Hagerstown area.

He was a 29 year employee of Best Way Disposal. He was a 10 year member of 4-H, enjoyed raising cattle and was a devout Christian. His greatest joy was his family. When asked how he was doing, his standard reply was “ I’m chasin’ the sun”.

Survivors include his wife, Traci Black; 3 daughters, Madi (Camden Tucker), Lexi and Morgan and his mother, Marjorie Black.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Fritz Black.

A celebration of Chuck’s life will begin at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, at the home of his mother, 9064 Lacy Road, Hagerstown.
