Carl Tom Willoughby, age 43, a New Castle resident, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at IU Ball Hospital in Muncie. He was born February 13, 1979, in New Castle, a son of the late Danny and Tonia “Susie” (Ford) Willoughby.
Carl attended New Castle Chrysler High School. He managed the Holiday Inn Express in New Castle. Carl was known to be a “jokester”, a master at bs and could sell glasses to a blindman. However, he would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Carl is survived by four children, Breanna, Danny, Kerstin, and Christina; a granddaughter, Alonnah; three siblings, Josh, Angel, and Lindsay (Truma) Willoughby; a special aunt, Terrie Dailey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Danny and Tonia “Susie” Willoughby, his maternal and paternal grandparents.
