Brenda K. Gingry, 71, of New Paris, Ohio went home to be with Jesus on October 28, 2022. She was born on September 10, 1951, to Neal and Kathryn Durbin Johnson at Reid Hospital in Richmond.
Brenda was a 1969 graduate of National Trail High School and graduated from P.J.s College of Cosmetology in Richmond and worked as a nail technician for 34 years. She spent most of her life living in New Paris. She was an active member of Christ United Church and the Richmond Senior Community Center. She enjoyed attending church, playing Bingo and Chair Volleyball, making crafts, baking, and volunteering for the Senior Center. Her greatest joys were spending time with her son, family, and her beloved cat.
Survivors include her son Ritchie (Laura) Gingry of New Paris, Ohio, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters Carolyn Horn of Richmond, Vickie Johnson of New Paris, Ohio, and Pamela Whalen of Cambridge City, one brother Floyd (Linda) Johnson of Huber Heights, Ohio, nine nephews, two nieces, several great nieces and nephews great-great nieces and nephews, and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, loving companion Ed Phenis, and two brothers-in-law Julius Horn and Darrell Whalen.
Funeral services for Brenda will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Brett Karanovich officiating and burial in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
