Glenna F. Brenneman, 97, of Muncie and formerly of New Castle passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Westminster in Muncie. She was born May 17, 1925 in Middletown, Ohio, daughter of the late Vinton and Cora Mable (Newlin) Pring.

Glenna was a 1944 graduate of Kennard High School. She served as Henry County Auditor and worked for the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office. She was previously employed as bookkeeper for Crossroads Child & Family Services of Indianapolis. Glenna was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was part of a bridge club for over 50 years. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Christian Church, where she and her husband, Bob, were instrumental in the financing & fund raising for the new church building. Glenna loved cooking and enjoyed baking for her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana S. (Gordon S.) Brown of St. Petersburg, Florida and Mary Jane “Janie” (Rick) Harbron of Chesterfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Melissa (David) Grant, Heather (D.C.) McDaniel, Grant Harbron and Laura (Alex) Harbron-Cohn; step grandchildren, Joshua Brown and Aaron (Stacy) Brown; nine great grandsons and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Brenneman in September, 2012; son, Michael Brenneman in July, 2009; siblings, Delores Wehrly, Rex, Russell and Paul Pring and Dorothy Bancroft; half brother, Rupert Pring and half sisters, Eunice Gray & Romaine Reichart.

The family is appreciative of the care she received in her final days.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Chaplain Les Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery near Middletown. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
